1. What services do you provide?
At this time we provide Full Service financial and retirement planning. In the future we plan to add Fee-for-Service planning.
2. What does Full Service include?
- 2-3 meetings in the initial onboarding process. These meetings will include goal planning, info gathering and an assessment of your current plan.
- If we agree to move ahead, you will also receive a personalized Financial and Retirement Plan with recommendations using best-in-class software by Conquest Planning.
- You will also be referred to an appropriate Professional Portfolio Manager for transfer and setup of your investment accounts. All of our Professional Portfolio Managers use a Custodian for safekeeping your investments.
- Full Service also includes a Insurance/Risk Management assessment to ensure you have the proper amount and most affordable insurance plan in place.
- After onboarding, you essentially have us on retainer throughout the year for any questions or concerns.
- We offer annual meetings (or more if needed for a life event or changing circumstances) to provide tax planning and progress updates on your financial and retirement plan.
3. How much does Full Service cost?
Our fee is an annual percentage based on the amount in your investment portfolio. We find this model facilitates a mutually beneficial relationship as our compensation is directly tied to your investment portfolio. If the investments increase in value, we both do well. If your investments decrease in value, so does our compensation. We also encourage our clients to trust us with their entire retirement portfolio as this helps us: 1) Build trust, 2) Plan better and 3) It financially benefits the client, as the more you have with us, the lower fees you pay. Also, your money is NEVER locked in or tied to any sales charges/deferred fees.
Currently, we charge the following fees for Full Service*

4. Does you have account minimums?
Yes, our services are best suited to clients who have over $250,000 in investible assets.
5. What type of clients do you typically work with?
We work best with clients who:
- are serious about their financial and retirement planning goals and want a rock-solid plan to achieve them
- want financial freedom and see investing as the best tool to achieve it
- believe in the benefits of free market capitalism
- have faith in the future
- desire patience – and understand that the investment markets don’t always go up
- seek discipline to stick with the plan, even when times are tough
6. What is your personal investment philosophy?
Based on 200+ years of historical data, it is MUCH more profitable in the long term to invest in stocks/equities. So, it makes sense to hold more stocks/equities than bonds/fixed income in your long term portfolios… if you want your money to grow more, and especially grow more than inflation. There are always exceptions, but we are big believers in the power of being a business owner (which is what you become when you buy stocks) to grow your hard earned savings over the long term.
We also know and understand that not everyone can stomach the volatility that comes with owning stocks so our Professional Portfolio Managers have many excellent conservative investment portfolios for those who want a smoother ride. The key in all investment decisions is letting your goals guide us in determining the best portfolios and asset allocation (percentage of your money in stocks and bonds). All your portfolios and asset allocation will be discussed in as much detail as you want with your Professional Portfolio Manager.
7. What is a Professional Portfolio Manager and why should I trust them?
Professional Portfolio Managers (PPM) represent a higher standard of asset management in Canada and provide the following benefits:
- They owe a fiduciary duty to you, meaning that they are legally required to put their client’s financial interests ahead of their own with each investment decision.
- They charge lower portfolio management fees than most investment management & financial institutions in Canada.
- They safeguard your assets as your money resides with a third-party custodian, providing added protection.
- They offer the highest level of education and experience in the investment industry as required by securities regulators.
8. Do you have a fiduciary duty?
Yes, as a Certified Financial Planner Professional ® I adhere to a Code of Ethics and Rules of Conduct. Click here to find more info.
I also do my absolute best to adhere to the Word of God, where Jesus states, “Love your neighbor as yourself” – Matthew 22:39. And therefore, we do our best to always put our client’s interests ahead of ours.
